...four fateful innings only one Huntington man fanned the air for a strike-out. R. Hitchcock '18 who finished the game in the box retired eight men and allowed not a run. His pitching was consistently good and he kept his opponents puzzled to the end. Ziegler, the Huntington twirler, did well throughout the game, showing particularly good form in tight places. In one case, with the sacks full and not a man out he fanned three in succession. The Freshmen's only real rally was in the fourth when they managed to get three men to cross the plate...
...matter of common knowledge that "Steamship" Hall, the tortuous twirler will occupy the box for the editors. His devilish delivery will be snapped up with precision and nonchalance by Ted Reynolds. Harris managed to stop Groton's fast start, allowing only one run after the first...

Gilman '16 is expected to report for the team and may be a useful twirler during the latter part of the season. J. B. Waterman '15 and R. Harte '17 are catchers of recognized ability. There will be great opportunity, however, for new men to show worth and it is hoped that the team may have the benefit of selecting the best men from...
...Leiter Cup baseball series ended yesterday when the Powerizers defeated the Maidstones 6 to 0. Davis, twirler for the victors, had complete control over the opposing batters, fanning 13 of them. His enemy on the mound, Buffum, struck out but 5 of the Powerizer delegation. The 9 hits which the Maidstone nine batted out were well scattered and excellently fielded. On several occasions the vanquished nine had three men on the bases when Davis tightened up and retired the side. The game, however, was not so close as the one-sided score would indicate...
