...oriented play to a high-wire of beauty. Piping classical music brings out a gracile quatro of stage hands between acts one and two: They lay out light-cobalt platforms which in turn absorb a dull, icy lighting scheme. As the A.R.T.'s actors quickly sketch their tragedy (an uber-fable about ambition and hubricguilt), its stagecraft is relentlessly Scandinavian, so that the dark, philosophically neurotic A.R.T. paradigm feels like nothing more than atypical (or stereotypical) Norwegian aesthetic...

...Cranberries. Lead singer Jo Lloyd manages to merely mimic Dolores O'Riordan's vocal stylings from "Zombie," that frantic, slightly nasal guttural pitch. Backed by random noise fillers consisting of drums and guitar, each song is a blur of blah and blech. ...look like a combat zone. Rodeo Drive screams money, not mayhem. But sweetie, kiss-kiss, get out your designer flak jacket, because there's a war going on in Hollywood, and Wilshire Boulevard is ground zero. Taking up a position at one end is Michael Ovitz, the former uber-agent who repped Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks before quitting for a short-lived tenure as president of Disney. Four miserable years later, he's back from exile, offering his services as a manager and raiding clients from Creative Artists Agency, the firm just a mile away that he co-founded...
