As part of a campaign to prevent an outbreak of measles on campus, University Health Services (UHS) is advising any student, staff or faculty member born since 1957 to be revaccinated against the disease.
The UHS director of medical- surgical clinics, Dr. Peter Zuromskis, said there have been numerous cases of people who were vaccinated between 1957 and 1980 contracting measles because of ineffective or badly administered vaccines.
Nadja Gould, a clinical social worker for University Health Services (UHS) for the past 12 years, described the psychological state of most rape victims.
According to Gould, UHS workers try to help victims through the various phases of the recovery process, which are often marked by feelings of hostility and overdependence.
"The policy in the past has always been `what ever you do in your own room is OK, as long as it doesn't go out into the hall and affect others,'" says UHS Director David S. Rosenthal '49.
