...last event on the programme was what is known as an upset race, in which there were three entries. The race was very amusing, one of the contestants upsetting three times. Webster came in first, with Dunham second and Livingston third. The prizes for the several events were very neat cups, and were presented immediately after the races. Taking everything into account the races were very successful, and the Canoe Club are to be congratulated on the excellent showing they made.
