...first final game of the scrub basketball series in the Gymnasium last night the Perootes defeated the Ates, 17 to 8. The winners showed a superiority in team work and Brown and Lawton were very accurate in shooting baskets. For the Ates, Barber and Utley excelled. The second final game will be played Monday at 6 o'clock; and in case of tie, a third game will be played Tuesday. Cups will be awarded to the members of the winning team...
