...Harvard party arrived in Nashville early Wednesday morning, February 28, after a smooth trip by boat from Boston to Norfolk, Va., and a railroad trip through southern Virginia, the Carolinas, and Georgia, broken by a stop of a few hours at Chattanooga, Tenn., to see Lookout Mountain and some of the other battlefields and monuments of the Civil War. ...party will go from Boston to Norfolk, Va., by one of the boats of the Merchants' and Miners' Transportation Co., sailing at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon, February 24, and arriving at Norfolk early Monday morning. The route from Norfolk will be the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad to Louisville, thence by Louisville and Nashville Railroad to Nashville.
