Jaroff's commentary on homeopathic products was sorely needed. Scientists never rule out a theory completely, and this approach has led too many people to think that something ridiculous might be valid. Too many discussions of alternative medicine emphasize possible side effects when what should really be pointed out is that most of those treatments just plain don't work.
