Only Dwight Black, who placed second, looked good for the Crimson in the 35 pound weight throw, indicating that the Crimson may be weak in this event for the first time in several years. In the pole vault, Mello was the only Harvard vaulter clearing 10 feet, 6 inches and, at present, there appears little chance of getting additional depth.
