During the past week the football practice has been almost entirely secret, and long scrimmages have been held daily. Practice in kicking has formed an important feature of the week's work., in which Veeder, Wylie and Roome have done most of the punting, and Hutchinson the drop-kicking. Hockenberger has been in at left guard in place of Erwin and the line seems improved by the change. Cates, captain of the track team and a very fast player, is now considered the most likely candidate for left end. T. Jones and Hutchinson are fighting for the position of quarterback...
