Especially interesting, and the most valuable item, is a copy, bound in vellum for presentation, of the first edition of "Alice in Wonderland, London, 1865." This edition was recalled by the author, and the publishers sold the sheets to D. Appleton & Company, New York, who issued the book with a new title-page dated 1866.
