...three of his five children, plus a dozen or so friends, on holiday at El Mansoura, a fishing village on Tunisia's Cape Bon. At one point, there were 17 for dinner, and the kids mostly slept on air mattresses on the veranda. No matter. The nights were velvet, the days filled with swimming and trips to the village markets. Harlech spent much of his time reading and lounging around in a loose-fitting djibbah, blessedly free of reporters. ...closely supervised in their execution by Ludwig for his many projects. The lot is installed for the summer in a wing of the Wittelsbach family palace, formally known as the Munich Residence. Selected from Ludwig's three castles, from vaults and state theatrical museums, and sumptuously installed in velvet-hung, stagily lit galleries, their magpie splendors represent the culmination of Ludwig's eclectic vision...

Her outfit all but stole the show from the paintings, which was O.K. with the artist because she'll wear those same duds...
