YOUR SHOW IS NOT AS VULGAR AS STERN'S, BUT YOU PUSH THE ENVELOPE. HAVE YOU BEEN HASSLED BY THE FCC, PARTICULARLY AFTER THE JANET JACKSON FLAP? Well, first of all, f___ the FCC. Second of all, I like to think of my program as having a veneer of sophistication that probably inoculates us from the FCC. ...league Sleater-Kinney, but after a few spins it’s clear that this band makes no pretensions to the riot-grrl ideology usually accompanying any girl-group aspiring to produce punk-pop. In short, they are playing this music without any agenda but fun, and this veneer permeates every moment. A new year has arrived, and once again undergraduates are confronted with breaches of Harvard’s security and safety mechanisms. But these events are not necessarily cause for the same kind of outrage witnessed last fall, as the past year has brought thorough changes for the better...

...must work hard to resist the Sopranos comparison. If the show has taught anything, it's that beneath the garish veneer of suburban New Jersey family life steams a sewer of betrayal. But the comparison is actually unfair--to the Soprano clan. Bad as he is, Tony would never pull something as bumbling--and psychosexually crude--as what Charles Kushner, a real estate impresario and one of the Democratic Party's most generous political donors, is alleged to have done to his sister...
