Charles Chaplin, who likes to make pictures at leisure and in secrecy, was at work last week on the script of his latest movie, the first since Monsieur Verdoux drooped at the box office in 1947. Called Footlights, it was to go into production late this summer, with Comedian Chaplin supported by his son, 24-year-old Sidney Chaplin, in his first screen role.
