...court was the suit to oust Chairman Archie Moulton Andrews from Hupp Motor Car Corp. (TIME, March 11). At the suggestion of a Federal judge in Detroit the warring factions settled on a board consisting of one-half pro-Andrews directors, one-half anti-Andrews. Named as president was Vern R. Drum, oldtime Chrysler man who has lately been Hupp's production manager. Meantime in Washington in hearings on the New York Stock Exchange's request for permission to de-list Hupp stock, the Securities & Exchange Commission continued to quiz Promoter Andrews on his involved Hupp contracts...
