The leading story of the number, "Behind the Curtain," is a whimsical character sketch of an exceedingly prurient young man and a young lady a la mode,-at least we should judge the young man to be prurient, as the point of view is from behind a curtain in the young lady's boudoir. There is a rather vivid description of this room given in the first part, but taken as a whole the sketch reminds one of a judicious mixture of Town Topics and Algernon Swinburne...
