Schubert's unfinished quartet was substituted for the violincello suite by Bach, which was to have been played by Mr. Schroeder. Dittersdorf's E flat major quartet, especially beautiful because of its simplicity, and Beethoven's famous E minor quartet were played with that delicacy of treatment and richness of tone-colouring which characterizes all the work of the Kneisel organization...
