...story, though, is high-concept and high-maintenance. In the Bond-worthy opening action scene, Bolt (voiced by John Travolta) is introduced as a Superdog: faster than Speed Racer, more powerful than Benji, able to hold a dangling car between his teeth, plus his gifts of bent-track laser-vision and the amazing thunder bark - all to help his "human," Penny (Miley Cyrus), escape an army of bad guys. He could be the family dog of the Incredibles. What Bolt doesn't know, yet, is that all this mayhem and all his powers are fake. He's the star...

Looking Back on Campaign '08 Laura Ingraham's contribution to TIME's "Moments to Remember" from the 2008 campaign illustrates my own: the Republicans' utter lack of vision [Nov. 10]. The overwhelming majority of their campaign ads never carried the remotest hint of what the Republicans would do if elected. Instead, like Ingraham, they produced laundry lists of reasons not to vote for the opposition. GOP mouthpieces complain that their candidates don't get positive coverage in the mainstream media. ...vision of serenity. Set against the opulent decor of the lobby of the Inn at Harvard, he is dressed simply in a grey robe and matching pants, a crisp white collar clasped around his neck. Thick bifocals perch gracefully on his nose. Two tufts of snowy-white hair peek from beneath his characteristic red felt hat. He speaks with a soft, gravelly cadence, but carries himself with the gravitas befitting his stature. Chinua Achebe stands as perhaps the most recognizable and lauded African author of modern times. Celebrating its fiftieth anniversary this year, his premier novel, “Things...
