...Stone says he hasn’t even seen any of the recently released polemic documentaries, and although he was something of a keynote interview in Michael Moore’s Bowling for Columbine, the controversial filmmaker gets lambasted in Team America with just as much, if not more, vitriol as the Bush administration...

Fasten Your Seat Belts Few industrial rivalries are as intense and bitter as the transatlantic, multibillion-dollar dogfight between U.S. airplanemaker Boeing and its France-based nemesis, Airbus. Besides the verbal vitriol the companies consistently exchange - Airbus CEO Noël Forgeard recently accused Boeing of conducting a "campaign of untruths" - governments on both sides of the Atlantic have occasionally pushed the boundaries of diplomacy in trying to promote their respective national champions. Skyrocketing fuel prices and cut-back purchase plans have made the battle fiercer than ever, and last week a full-scale trade donnybrook erupted. Fulfilling a campaign...

The President himself attacked Edwards within 24 hours, which is also unprecedented: usually surrogates do the heavy slinging...

...interplay between the two songwriters has always been integral to Sebadoh. Their three great albums—III, Bakesale and Harmacy—have always featured an even distribution of songwriting credits between the two, and Lowenstein’s vitriol is constantly tempered by Barlow’s cool. The balance between the two, as physically manifested on-stage on corresponding sides of the boom-box drum machine, keeps their sound constantly engaging—there is a Sebadoh sound, but split between two ultimately different songwriters who share an aesthetic for murky, reflective, grunge-lite songwriting. Sebadoh?...
