...Holy Cross reeling. Freshman defender Kwaku Nyamekye started the offensive onslaught by sending a well-timed cross to Akpan, who placed it in the back of the net for his second goal of the game. Hoff would add to the fireworks in the 53rd minute by scoring a brilliant volley to put Harvard...
PRINCETON'S STUDENT BODY president placed the ball in the administration's court last week with a substantial critique of the school's grade-capping policy. Today the Daily Princetonian offers a volley from the dean of the college, dismissing the critique, which noted that Princeton admitted more academically talented students in the period when GPAs began to rise. The dean's response is in two parts: 1) The reasoning is flawed; and 2) Even if it weren't flawed, Princeton still has "the responsibility to hold [students] to higher standards." ...that Taylor, 65, faces such a tough fight, the race is getting predictably ugly. His campaign has mounted an attack ad campaign against Shuler, with the first volley fired over how Shuler failed to pay some $69,000 in taxes for a business he was involved in. ...short ball from Federer and cracks the meanest backhand winner down the line you’ll ever see. Next point—a screaming cross-court forehand winner. And then on set point, he takes his first set from Federer in 13 tries with a spectacular backhand volley that sends Federer to his knees—literally. Although Blake could not rally in the fourth set, that moment in the third seemed to me another step for Blake. With James in the air pumping his fists and Federer on his knees, Blake showed something...
