...issue of TIME, you give an account of a dog show and speak of Pointer vs. Airedale. Could you please tell me where and when the name of Airedale was given to this 'breed of dogs? In the Standard Dictionary, there is a whole page given illustrating the various breeds of dogs, but the Airedale is not among them. The word is not found in the Dictionary, nor could I find it in Webster's. I would like to know if this is not a new breed of dogs and I would like to know how they came by this...
