...Finally, the BLSA's account of the vulgar disruption by some Jewish students at last year's talk is mistaken in one crucial respect. They state that "Neither the Dean nor other members of the faculty spoke out against this disruption and violation of free speech". I know that Muhammad Kenyatta knows this account is in error, for he has commented favorably to me about a letter I published in the Crimson strongly criticizing this disruption, and I supported the BLSA's concern for presenting Palestinian issue at Harvard. Prof. Dershowitz also criticized the HJLSA's disruption...

Only an arrogance stemming from the most vulgar strain of racism could allow Hirschorn to suggest that Reverend Jackson's candidacy has split Blacks and whites in this country. In reality, there has been such a schism, created, nurtured and refined by whites since the first slave ship reached these shores in 1619. The Defense Minister began avoiding meetings of the armed forces superior council. When he did attend one last month, says a participant, Alvarez was "gross and vulgar." Younger officers suspected that he was tapping their telephones and following their personal movements. Some junior military men may have been bothered by Alvarez's embrace of the U.S. training center in Honduras for Salvadoran troops: many Honduran officers have lingering memories of their country's 1969 war with...

...status quo and of the people whom you're referring to, Charles. And I think that insufficient resources have been allocated to those who would make arguments critical of the status quo, but the resources for making those arguments are there in the law. I'm not as vulgar a Marxist as you are, Charles. That's what I'm trying to say. I don't believe the law is strictly the instrument of the ruling class...
