A nine-ton, 87-ft.-long lattice arch of tubes currently swoops over the garden at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, casting a thatch of ever changing shadows...
...that last criterion that stymied the Sony. Its external speakers, even when turned up full blast, weren't loud enough to compete with the ambient noise of my station wagon, three Quittner girls and Otto, the brown dog. The Aiwa, on the other hand, could easily be heard by my kidlings in the back seat of the car. While the sound quality of the Sony's external-speaker system is way better than the Aiwa's for, say, sitting quietly and alone on your bed, it's too mellow for car trips and howling Quittners...

Perhaps one problem is the image of the stay-at-home parent. What do we envision when thinking of a mother at home with her kids? Classic suburban life, station wagon and picket fence, husband returning to a clean house and dinner on the table? Instead of asking ourselves whether or not to work, we need to decide how we can make the combination of work and family possible. ...movie focuses, or at least tries to focus, on the moral dilemmas that Hodges faces. He trusts his friend, but when he visits Yemen to look for evidence, he witnesses first-hand the effects of Childers's attack and is mortified and subsequently falls off the wagon. But this, the one aspect of this movie that could be interesting or thought provoking-that Hodges has to defend a friend who he believes to be guilty-dissipates into thin air. Hodges simply forgets all that he saw in Yemen and vigorously defends his friend. The audience keeps wondering where the moral...
