Cattaloes. Purpospful breeding has increased Canada's dwindling buffalo herd from a few score head to over 11,000. In Buffalo Park, at Wainwright, Alberta, some of the shaggy loggerheads were experimentally crossed with Angus, Hereford and shorthorn cows.
