...rebel fighters who stormed N'Djamena Friday evening withdrew when formerly grounded Chadian Army helicopters attacked their trucks and positions in the capital. What they left in their wake bore witness to the intense and random nature of the violence. N'Djamena's main business street, the avenue Charles de Gaulle, was littered with destroyed cars, burned corpses, and the detritus of trees cut down by flurries of machine gun and rocket fire, according to eyewitnesses. Although initial reports described fighting limited to rebel and government forces, French aid agency Médecins Sans Frontières said...

...Suharto's story does make for grand opera: a village boy who grows up into an army general, then acquires absolute power in the wake of a mysterious communist coup and military countercoup. Historians say those tumultuous days in the fall of 1965 sparked half a million murders, and that Suharto and his soldiers were responsible. We students did not know about the killings at the time. ...Belichick’s cunning plans are his very own Darth Vader (Tom Brady) and Boba Fett (Randy Moss). Brady, too perfect and too efficient, is more robot than man. Moss is a hired gun brought in by the Empire to ruthlessly eliminate its enemies, leaving destruction in his wake in the form of broken touchdown records. Coach Tom Coughlin leads the Rebellion, otherwise known as the upstart Giants.
