Police Commissioner Arthur Woods '92, of New York City, a brother of Professor J. H. Woods '87, has announced that he will put into effect some new ideas about policing a big city. Mr. Woods was appointed by Mayor Mitchell April 8 to succeed Mr. Waldo, and he has planned a new police system which he believes will give New York far better protection than it has ever had.
