Joseph Cook also makes many characteristic remarks in two papers that he contributes. The Rev. E. E. Hale and C. D. Warner have the most interesting papers in the book, - especially the latter, who wisely refrains from laying down dogmatic rules. On the whole, we think the book can do no harm, and may do some good - in the hands of children ten or twelve years...
