Harvard coaches have a similar problem employing a rah-rah type of leadership. Imagine Bobby Knight, Indiana coach and Hoosier bad boy, coaching the Harvard basketball team. Throwing chairs. Cursing. Telling his players that they should send their games to a laundromat for a complete wash...
...criticism of Israel comes not because I wish to disavow myself from the Jewish state. I am also not looking to quickly wash away the guilt that has wrenched my soul and I suspect the souls of many fellow Jews. I criticize because I fear that Israel is destroying itself and just as the Jewish state provides strength to all Jews its destruction will weaken all Jews...
...Israeli leaders declared the fury spent, but each day it continued. Five more Palestinians died, bringing the total killed since early December to 27. The first to die was a West Bank woman shot in the chest -- mistakenly, according to the Israeli military -- while she was hanging out her wash. Nickell's widow Stella told authorities that her husband had taken Excedrin from the same product lot. They concluded that Nickell too was the victim of a cyanide-laced capsule. The two deaths sparked a major criminal investigation and prompted Excedrin manufacturer Bristol-Myers to issue a nationwide recall...
