...seem to have the brightest of prospects. Jones who rowed seven last year has charge of the freshman crew. Porter will probably not row. Weed is at present stroking the second 'varsity crew. Stearns, Steadman, Heard and Hubbard have not yet gone into training. The result is that Captain Watriss has an entirely green crew to work with. The candidates that rowed last week were Walcott, Young, Ganson, Gratwick, G. McKay, Frost and Cummin. Of these Gratwick and Cummin have not had much experience in rowing. McKay has not as yet shown up very promisingly. Frost has never rowed before...
