Child of Trouble. The night Morris Watson was born his mother died, and his house burned down. That was in Joplin, Mo., Jan. 29, 1901. He ran away from home in 1915 having completed but one year of high school; 1916 found him a soldier in the U. S. Army on the Mexican Border.
