Though Cohen has a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from Cambridge, and another one in Experimental Physics from Stanford, he is more inclined to boast about his goofy videos on complex scientific topics than about his pedigree. One such video shows particles under the influence of an electrical waveform synchronized to the beat of “Move It, Move It.” Bopping his head to the beat, Cohen successfully pulls off the seemingly unthinkable: a techno/physics fusion...

...wall of my office is a strip of celluloid about a foot long, flat as a knife blade until it folds at each end. It is a piece of 16mm film that must be 40 or 50 years old. Along one side you can see the waveform of the optical soundtrack, a continuous line of jagged ridges and valleys; on the opposite side runs a line of sprocket holes that allow the cogs of the projector to pull the film past the lamp. Other experimenters have shown that rats and dogs may be made to feel hungry just after eating, or afraid when they had nothing to fear, simply by injecting the appropriate neural currents into the central nervous system of the animal...
