...much luck in the movies lately. But, boy, he's good working on this miniscule scale. Those imaginary bugs quickly become more real than any paranoid nightmare. Better still, the movie becomes a kind of object lesson in how powerful, devoutly believed madness can take over weak and needy minds...
...Judicial Council, which consists of senior judges, to inquire into whether the Chief Justice had misused his office to get his son into the police force and to obtain other benefits-allegations Chaudhry denies. The Chief Justice has a reputation for incorruptibility and for defending the rights of the weak. But Chaudhry has also crossed the government repeatedly. In the last couple of days, Republican Senator Chuck Hagel has joined the call for the Attorney General's resignation. And Thursday Senators Charles Schumer of New York and Diane Feinstein of California announced they intend to introduce a no-confidence motion against Gonzales in the Senate. Senate majority leader Harry Reid supports the motion and his staff say it could come to the floor as soon as next week...
