...class series was played yesterday afternoon between the sophomores and the freshmen, and resulted in a tie. The freshmen were strengthened by Hennen and Hoague from the 'varsity, and they did very effective work in tackling and making holes. The defensive work of both teams was much weaker than the offensive. As a whole both teams played Well, though '97 grew weaker in the second half.
