...Having probably the weakest army in their own country, the Lebanese government has few independent options. Instead, it's bound to follow the Syrian line of refusing to negotiate a peace deal with Israel before the Israeli-Syrian conflict is resolved. But Israel and the international community are looking to Lebanon to either police its border zone or allow the U.N. to do so despite Beirut's refusal - under Syrian pressure - to guarantee Israel's security. Although the fractious religious and political divisions that tore the country apart in the '70s have not disappeared, leaders on all sides appear determined...

...feel that Oppenheim has a perfectly clear vision of what Harvard is, and it is an accurate vision. Rather then condemn him for focusing in on the "weakest link" of Harvard, let us remember that a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. Instead of complaining about his complaining, we should recognize the truth in his words and try to change it. Instead of accepting the worst of what exists here, we should be campaigning against...

...Clearly, this is very embarrassing, and very serious," says TIME Washington correspondent Elaine Shannon. "The system is only as strong as its weakest link, and if perimeter guards aren't trained well enough to protect federal buildings, we're got a serious problem." While the GAO interlopers sidestepped the usual rounds of questioning by mimicking the bearing of law enforcement officials, there is no reason to think a sophisticated terrorist group couldn't do exactly the same, says Shannon - sending an average-looking guy with an average-sounding accent and a reasonable facsimile of an ID into CIA headquarters...

...inaccurate, but he has also painted a picture of Harvard for himself that he cannot enjoy. I have been a member of organizations he has criticized as well as service organizations which he seems to single out as the only worthy pursuits. He has consistently judged organizations by their weakest link and the Harvard community by one girl in a crpe shop (which he believes is indicative of a greater personality). I do not mean to defend any of the disturbing examples Oppenheim cited, but it is important to remember that these weak links are present in all facets...

...verbal pieces are centerpieces. Pieces such as "Frog Game" and samples from the Yam Festival newsletter, commemorating a year-long arts festival in 1963-4 which began and ended in May (Yam backwards), offer an intriguing glimpse at the earnest wit and interactive character of Watts's aesthetic. The weakest pieces by both Kaprow and Watts are the found objects, such as a stamp machine and a bucket with balls of yarn, which are derivative of Duchamp's ready-mades. They lack the spontaneity and originality of Kaprow's and Watts's more interactive works...
