PROVIDENCE, Nov. 14, 1882. The final game of ball at Brown for the fall was played with the Lonsdales. Fine fielding was done on both sides, but the batting was very weak. The game was called after five innings had been played, the score being three to two in favor of Brown. On account of the cold weather the nine have decided to go into gymnasium practice immediately. The play of our team has been materially improved since their last match, and the spectators were much pleased by the game. The catching and kicking of the half-backs is still rather weak, however, and some of the men still seem disinclined to fall on the ball. The best playing for Harvard was done by Mason, Kendall and Ayres; for the Techs, by Haines, who made several very fine rushes in the last part of the game...
