...Freshman baseball season started yesterday afternoon when 51 candidates reported to Coach C. D. Moss '09 for the first practice. Practice will be held in the Cage regularly from now on until the weather is suitable for out-door work. The Freshman pitchers and catchers have been practicing with the University battery candidates since February 1, and will continue to do so for a while longer. Because of the unfavorable weather yesterday, the postponed hockey game between the University team and Dartmouth could not be played. Since the Dartmouth team was unable to remain longer in hope of ice, the game had to be given up for the present.
