Yesterday afternoon the University football team played two 20-minute halves against the second eleven, scoring four touchdowns to one made by the second team. The play was as good and as lively as any yet shown, this being in part due to the cool weather. In quickness in following the ball and in skill in the use of the forward pass and the onside kick the men on the first team showed a marked improvement. Lincoln and Wendell made very long gains on line plays, and Macdonald and Osborne recovered the ball for the first eleven several times...
