Harvard Training Quarters, Red Top, Conn., June 10, 1914. Rough water in the morning handicapped the oarsmen, but in spite of the weather conditions all the crews took short rows. Marked improvement in watermanship was shown especially by the Freshmen. In the afternoon, conditions were better and the University crew followed by the Freshman paddled three miles down-stream and back at a low stroke, special attention being paid to working well together and no attempt being made at speed. Late in the afternoon, Mr. Herrick took the second crew down to the Navy Yard. On the return trip...

Thus, Harvard Hall was completely destroyed, with all of John Harvard's library except one book, in 1764, when the Great and General Court, driven out of Boston by an epidemic of smallpox, occupied Harvard Hall for its sessions in the middle of winter. Cornell maintained its reputation for sterling distance men by winning the half, mile, and two-mile runs, setting new records in the former and latter races. Caldwell proved to be the "dark horse" in the 880-yard run, beating both Brown of Yale and Meredith of Pennsylvania in 1 minute...

E. Gale '17 at Jarvis Field this afternoon at 3 o'clock. The winners will play the best team on the University squad for the College championship...
