Michigan: No Talking to Voters Please, 8:00 a.m. E.T. Here in Michigan, medical marijuana is on the ballot. So is stem cell research. Election Day weather forecasts call for 72 degrees and lots of sun. Huh? Apparently, Michigan is masquerading as California. The unseasonably warm weather brought tourists and New Yorkers out in droves to Rockefeller Center's "Election Plaza," an enchanting display of democracy on ice - literally. NBC has temporarily transformed the iconic Rockefeller skating rink into a frozen map of the U.S.; the states will turn red or blue this evening as the election results are announced. ...Comes Out for - Obama? 12:45 p.m. E.T. Most of the country is experiencing unseasonably warm, dry weather today, which should boost turnout for Obama. (Studies have shown that Democrats are less likely to vote in bad weather; it is rainy and cool in Philadelphia but the turnout seems to be big.) Of the 10 battleground states, the only two with serious weather are Virginia and North Carolina, per AccuWeather.com meteorologists.
