Some within the Harvard community oppose Harvard’s resistance to a more open educational approach. One such rebel is Andrew J. Magliozzi ’05, founder of Finalsclub.org, a Facebook-meets-Wikipedia Web site meant to meet all your study needs. HSCI co-director Douglas A. Melton and his colleagues have successfully created induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells using a chemical that can replace two of the four potentially cancer-causing genes previously needed to reprogram adult cells into a mutable state.
