...university eleven played two games during the week. In the game with Wesleyan on Wednesday the team on the whole played with a good deal less snap than in the game with Dartmouth the preceding week, although the individual work at times was of a high order. The Saturday game with the Carlisle Indian School eleven at Manhattan Field was one of the closest and most exciting football contests played this season. ...contest comes also the end of the World's Food Fair, which closes on Saturday, November 7, all reports of a longer continuance being without foundation. The grand musical concerts will be continued to the end, the John Boyle O'Reilly Band playing in Grand Hall, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and the Naval Brigade Band the remainder of the week, while the Fadettes will render their choicest selections every afternoon and evening in Exhibition Hall.
