...Nine played a strong batting game, as the score will show, but their fielding was not free from bad errors. Princeton's poor play in the field can, in a measure, be accounted for by more than a week's lack of practice, caused by the many rainy days of the previous week. We much regretted the injury to her catcher which compelled his retirement from the game, - another example of the fact that misfortunes never come singly. We can only wish them better luck next time. A more extended commentary than the appended score will be unnecessary...

We would mildly suggest that it is his business to have, or to make, time for such purposes, and that any failure in this respect entitles him to severe reprimand...
...Bancroft, of the Executive Committee of the Boat Club, went to Springfield and secured quarters for the crew. These will be in West Springfield, just above the start of last year. The crew will probably leave Cambridge about the last of June, and will be in Springfield for a week or two's practice on the Connecticut before the race, which will probably be rowed over the same course as last year, although there has been some talk of changing the course for one to finish farther up the river...
