...quite creditable performance as Peter, and Ann Harding is even better as the Duchess of Towers. It was a pleasant surprise to find Donald Meek taking the part of blind Mr. Slade so well. Gogo was played by Dickie Moore while the role of Mimsey was taken by Virginia Weidler. Both of the children did well although they were made to cry too much. Their part of the story, unfortunately was telescoped to such an extent that the importance of the childhood relation which is so carefully established by du Maurois is largely lost and the explaining sub-title...
