Besides the mile and half mile races which were both run in good time, the most interesting event was a three quarters mile relay race between the members of the first Newell and first Weld graded crews, won by the former in a close finish. In addition to the regular thirteen events there were pickapack, three-legged, wheelbarrow and obstacle races...
