PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 26, 1896.- Pennsylvania defeated Cornell here today in the last important game of the season before 17,000 people. It was a clean, well-played game in which there was little fumbling and one in which Cornell was clearly outclassed, largely on account of light weight. Cornell played a plucky, uphill game and scored twice on steady plunges through the line by Beacham and Ritchie.
