Frank Christopher Dowd 2 M., was shot at nine o'clock last evening in Charlestown by a man named G. G. Johnson of Medford. Dowd was removed immediately to the Massachusetts General Hospital. At a late hour the authorities at the hospital reported that he was bearing up well though badly injured. He was shot in the left side, and though several attempts have been made, the doctors have not yet found the bullet...

...spite of the fact that Saturday's game at Groton was played in a snow storm, the freshmen showed improvement. The interference formed well but the ground was too slippery for sharp rushing. Most of ninety-nine's gains were made between tackle and end, Groton's heavy centre proving invincible. Sargent. who has been playing on the 'varsity squad, was a valuable addition at tackle. Harvard won the toss and chose the north goal so that it might have the wind behind its back. Lea opened the game by kicking the ball well into Harvard's territory. Brewer caught the ball and returned it to Rosengarten who made seven yards before he was downed. On the first down Baird punted and Harvard on receiving the ball punted back to Princeton's 35 yard line...

Cabot was given the ball but lost three yards. The next time Brewer was the final recipient after the exchange passes, and he got round through Lea for eight yards. Some more double passing and a couple of rushes at either tackle brought the ball well within the Princeton 25 yard line...
