Yesterday the Cornell crew went over the regular 1 and 7-8 miles course both in the morning and afternoon. In the morning the work was somewhat harder than it was in the afternoon, as a 33 stroke was rowed in a spurt at the finish. In the afternoon 26 strokes to the minute were maintained as a steady pace. The men appeared to be in good physical condition, but did not row hard. ...Cornell university crew arrived in Boston yesterday morning. About 4.30 o'clock the men went out on the river and paddled up stream to the Longwood bridge. This time was 19 and 2-5 seconds faster than that made in the race last year, over the same course in the opposite direction. The crew appeared to be well together and maintained a tolerably slow stroke. The men pulled hard, but did not seem to exert themselves especially...

Despite a cross wind tending to make the boat rock, the boat went more smoothly than yesterday, as the men showed evener form at the finish of the stroke and seemed to drive the boat without effort...

...Freshman crew went out on the river yesterday with J. Cutler back at stroke. He has not rowed for five days, and yesterday showed good form but lack of vigor. The crew as a whole showed a tendency to hang at the catch, but in several brushes of about 30 strokes with the University second crew the boat spaced well. This morning these two crews will hold their last practice in Cambridge in the shells in which they will row in the Henley Regatta on Saturday. The shells will be sent off this afternoon, and tomorrow the men will probably...
