Yale defeated West Point Saturday for the first time in three years. The final score was 6 to 0, the only touchdown being made by Philbin in the second period as the culmination of a long series of line rushes. His attempt at a goal from an easy angle, however, went wild. Yale had one other really good opportunity to score in the third quarter as a result of several line plunges and a well-executed forward pass from Spalding to Flynn. But the Army held for three downs and on the fourth recovered a fumble on the one-yard...
...only chance West Point had for a score came in the final period when they advanced the ball through consistent playing to Yale's 25-yard line, only to lose all they had gained because of a penalty for holding in the line and failure to complete a slowly executed forward pass...
