Yale, Williams and the Western Reserve University require gymnasium work of the freshman class only. Wesleyan, Colby, Haverford, Trinity, Rutgers, Smith, Tufts, Cornell, and the Universities of Wisconsin, California, Kansas, and of Indianapolis, all require gymnasium work of the freshman and sophomore classes. The University of North Carolina requires exercise of all students except seniors.
