Fairport Convention. This week, WHRB's continuing series of concerts features one of England's highest esteemed folk groups, Fairport Convention with Sandy Denny. After a couple of successful solo attempts and work on the orchestrated version of Tommy, Sandy will appear once again with Fairport. That should be enough in itself to get you to see the concert. But for those who need more tangible grounds it's close (Sanders Theater), it's cheap ($4.00). So be there October 28, Monday evening at 8 p.m. Satisfaction guaranteed...

Who knows, maybe his singing will be pardoned in the same manner that Dylan's was, in any case, Bromberg's performance is not to be missed.
