Harvard won from the Newtons on Holmes Field yesterday afternoon by a score of 8 to 2. Wiggin pitched and was very effective, holding the Newtons down to two singles and striking out fourteen men. In the third, fourth, sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth innings the Newtons were unable to get beyond first base, and only three of their men reached third during the entire game. The two runs were scored in the fifth inning when Hubbard, through an error by Soule, reached first, stole second, went to third on a passed ball and came home immediately afterward...
